公安边防支队侦查大队特勤排排长秦胜男在一次处突行动中，因违抗上级命令导致自己重伤，被撤消职务，作老兵退伍处理。临别前，支队长勉励她：有缺点的战士终归是战士，完美的苍蝇毕竟是苍蝇。并嘱咐，让她永远记住这句话。 退伍的胜男，拖着假肢在工地干活，偶遇曾到体院招兵的海军陆战队副连长马远征，两人在不知不觉中被搅进了和前男友钱鑫有关的一场暴恐分子偷运武器的战争当中，却发现当初胜男的撤销职务只是一个蒙蔽敌人的手段。于是，一场智与力的战斗在士兵与暴恐分子之间展开......。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios.
