2006年9月，帕拉斯一个3人组侦查小队从他们的前哨站出发，路上俯瞰着阿富汗南部的卡贾基水库，他们将前去参与打击塔利班基地组织。当他们穿越一个干涸的河床时，其中一个人不幸踩中了地雷，这些地雷其实是在约25年前俄罗斯占领时期留下的。他的战友冲到他的身边，结果却发现他们被数量不明的地雷包围了，他们迈出的每一步都有可能造成重伤甚至死亡。。The plot involves a woman who sets out a well-intentioned plan of bringing together her dysfunctional family in the wake of the family’s matriarch, her mother-in-law. She deceives her husband and others in to believe their mother left rules for the family to follow in the lead up to Christmas.
