一位有抱负的年轻艺术家加入了她高中的田径队，后来当她发现自己爱上了一个意想不到的队友时，她发现真爱是什么感觉。。又是新一届投考谈判专家的时候，无心插柳的杨光与有心栽花的叶可人也在这支大军中。他们的老师分别是警界明星彭国栋和女强人简洁。杨光表面上是富家子弟，实际生母在家中并无地位，于是形成了他得过且过，开心就好的性格。这种性格深被为人自负的彭国栋所反感，培训过程中摩擦不断。然而胆子很小的可人则因为害怕国栋影响了正常的发挥。简洁平日专注工作，没有时间陪伴丈夫家聪，不料到同样寂寞的国栋的妻子与家聪发生了婚外情。对丈夫一往情深的简洁不能接受这样的局面，提出离婚。无奈离婚后才发现自己怀孕。而同样离婚结局的国栋在一次工作中受伤，从此只能靠轮椅代步。这些事情均改变了二人原本的性格缺憾，他们渐渐走近。。When the film begins, it is all over. “We know it’s terminal, and that’s all”, says Juliane of her mother Kerstin, who is in great pain and about to die aged just 64.
