青年金水（威龙）从大陆偷渡到法国，为了把母亲和妹妹从国内接出，他不惜铤而走险，贩卖假护照，从而被通缉，在法国无法立足，到加拿大投奔好友快锦（任达华），快锦是个玩事不恭但却热心的青年，决心帮朋友度过难关，他毅然收留了金水。快锦因赌欠下高利贷，身手高强的金水也帮快锦解围，两兄弟携手度过一个又一个难关，但金水却与快锦所爱的女人佐藤（柏原芳惠）产生了感情，面对爱情、友情，金水面临选择...。一群好奇的朋友悄悄潜入一座废弃的菠菜罐头厂，准备拍摄一部关于“大力水手”传说的纪录片。据说，水手幽灵常常在这座工厂和附近的码头游荡，诡异的传闻笼罩着这一片阴森之地。。A cave in of a local canal tunnel under restoration reveals the skeletons of eight individuals. While most of the skeletons are from a cave in when the canal was under construction in the 19th century, one is obviously of a more recent vintage.
