汪黛自從離婚之後，人生了無生趣。某次，她在網路上發現一項問卷，於是自願參加一份為期七天的睡眠研究。這是理查普雷托利斯博士所發起的研究，事實證明，大多數有睡眠麻痺和夜驚症的人，也被診斷出患有創傷後壓力和恐慌症。但在理查的催眠下，成員都做了同樣的噩夢，受到同一個傳說女妖的糾纏。接著成員一個接一個失蹤了，連理查博士也失蹤了。為了自救，汪黛必須替其他成員催眠，讓瑪格進入夢中，關上那扇原本不該被開啟的。。Set in 1909, a coal mine in Yorkshire, England has used pit ponies to haul coal for many years.
